Project Overview

This 1923 kitchen was like a time capsule with its original pedestal kitchen sink and stick built cabinetry lining only one wall. A lack of storage and countertop space was obvious and the first request of the homeowner was to correct this problem. They also desired modern appliances and improved flow and function. Removing the chimney and dividing wall opened up this small space. Additionally, new stained maple cabinetry and countertops added function, while undercabinet lighting highlights the mosaic backsplash tile and corners. The kitchen's first dishwasher was installed to modernize the space as well, helping create a great place to enjoy cooking.
