Project Overview

The clients desired an open kitchen with plenty of seating for entertaining, and views of the lake outside and the adjacent family room and living room. To achieve this, the kitchen was relocated to the old dining room and pantry area. The new space has a big, open floor plan with a large island, and a wet bar peninsula, complete with wine fridge and floating shelves, as well as a working triangle of the island sink, island dishwasher, range and refrigerator. Walnut cabinets and floating shelves, a quartzite island and stainless steel appliances add modern conveniences and function to this midcentury home.
