Project Overview

The clients adored their 1925 home, but features designed for the last century no longer met modern needs. Lacking a true primary bedroom, the old sleeping porch had become storage. A sweeping reconfiguration of the second floor combined the sleeping porch, a daughter's bedroom, and a hall bathroom to create a new primary suite. The revised layout provided the daughters with greater privacy and a significant upgrade to their shared bathroom. By embracing its quirks, this 1925 home has been thoughtfully brought into the present while preserving its unique character.
