Project Overview

The homeowner needed a home for his 1000-bottle wine collection and asked to locate it in an unfinished area of his basement. He requested two chillers-one for reds and one for whites-bar-height seating for four, lounge seating for two, wine racking that holds several hundred bottles and a special place to celebrate all things wine. This Old-World hideaway has an arched door entry, hand-troweled limestone walls and ceilings, rustic beams and trim, a table with a French oak wine barrel base, and a custom faux onyx top that seats four.
