Project Overview

Critical layout changes were necessary to optimize the function of the out-of-date kitchen, while taking advantage of the spectacular view. The design objective was to update the feel and functionality of the space, while adding a subtle Asian influence. The renovation included the kitchen, dining area and partial living room. To expose the view and enlarge the space, the wall between the kitchen and dining room were removed. Features include a custom range hood, a combination of white and black honed granite countertops, and kitchen cabinets and an island made of quarter-sawn oak. The island also has walnut and teak insets.
