Project Overview

This client has challenging physical disabilities and could not access his multilevel home. There were two access routes: a garage entrance with an existing 1950s small elevator accessing only the top floor, and the front door with multiple level staircases. The existing elevator required code changes and structural framing. To accommodate, a section of an adjacent closet was removed and the wall of the stairwell was opened. This extended the hallway, creating an entrance at the third floor. The new elevator cab features both front and rear exits, allowing access to all levels in the home.
