Project Overview

These empty-nesters were getting a new kitchen to fulfill their passion for cooking, but their love of entertaining required something more. As hosts for their large extended family for Thanksgiving, holiday and birthday parties who also entertain friends throughout the year, they wanted their guests to be a part of their cooking world. An existing formal dining table separated the crowd, but this innovative banquette fit the bill perfectly. With room for eight casual place settings, they can now fit all the grandchildren for large gatherings, and keep guests close to the chef, without being in her way.
