Project Overview

Longtime neighbors felt called to preserve this aging 1894 two-and-a-half story double cross-gable Queen Anne Victorian, while simultaneously bringing modern function to their new home. The entire exterior siding was stripped and replaced and a seamlessly integrated addition with side porch built. Geothermal, solar, and innovative insulation strategies create energy efficiency. The closed first floor plan was opened and expanded, particularly the kitchen, living and dining spaces to bring light, flow and visual connection. Larger bedroom and bathroom spaces now accommodate family and guests. Yet the home retains authentic proportions and details thanks to meticulous restoration and reuse throughout.
