Project Overview

The owners of a 1920s bungalow, along with their parents, wanted to convert a 70's carport into a two-car garage that was large enough to store their boat and serve as a low-maintenance family space. They also wanted a one-level deck to connect the two structures. To ensure that the front door of the in-law flat aligned with the back door of the house, important architectural elements were incorporated to mimic the home's original roof line and trim details. The result is a visually cohesive garage that matches the house, offers ample space for boat tinkering, and allows multiple generations to comfortably gather for extended family visits.
