Project Overview

The main goal was to create a cottage that offers complete privacy from the main house while simultaneously catering to the needs of two seniors, enabling them to maintain their independence for as long as possible. The result is a beautiful ADU where the age-in-place features are seen as beautiful design and an L-shaped cottage that blends well with the surroundings. It has lots of windows and a wrap-around deck with French doors in every room to maximize the indoor/outdoor connection. Skylights bring in the natural light.
