In a desired neighborhood like Barton Hills in Austin, TX, it's not uncommon to see original midcentury homes demolished for giant houses built to the max parameters of the McMansion guidelines. But for this Austin family, the goal for their beloved 1973 home was clear: preserve the original style and form while making the home family-friendly with color pops throughout.
