Project Overview

A 1930s cottage-style home with a petite kitchen, laundry, and unused nook space with odd configurations was begging for walls to be opened up and reworked to optimize function. For the clients who entertain often, expanding the kitchen and uniting it with the adjacent dining room was critical. Another priority was to include seating at the island and direct access from the kitchen to the backyard. Staying true to the style of their home, the finishes throughout were selected to maintain the cottage charm with a fresh, modern twist.
