Project Overview

The homeowner was their own designer who had a strong vision for creating a modern and breathable space. The biggest structural obstacle was that the living room and kitchen walls and doors prevented the house from flowing and circulating correctly. To solve this, all walls in the living room and kitchen were removed and an overhead structural beam installed. The ceiling height was raised to create a vaulted ceiling using attic space. In addition, the kitchen wall was closed off and the space reallocated for a bathroom closet and stackable washer and dryer. A new kitchen was extended over an existing patio.
