Project Overview

The clients wanted to convert a 1910 old Portland home into an up-to-date space, while retaining some of the classic elements such as leaded glass windows, marble counters and bathroom floors, and the existing exterior siding and trim. They also wanted to integrate more modern and period features, including coved ceilings, clean rectilinear lines, organic 4-inch-by-4-inch ceramic wainscot tile in the bathrooms, a hand-crafted walnut and steel pot rack/light fixture, and a flowing steel balustrade. The clients are passionate cooks and entertainers so all interior and exterior improvements were made to optimize dining and entertainment.
