Project Overview

Inspired by vintage guitar amps, existing archways reminiscent of south-of-the-border destinations, and natural materials reflecting the client's brand, the remodel of this 2,100sf space was about editing and telling stories. After demolition, old Doug-fir wood joists were discovered above the storefront display. They were the cantilever back-spans for the exterior awning. Instead of covering them back up, the designer chose to expose them, treat them with a red accent, and drywall carefully around each one. Adventure, texture, authenticity, and delight are hallmarks of this men's clothing brand, which were adopted for this crafty and colorful build.
