Project Overview

The owners wanted to remodel their dark, dirty and pretty scary DC basement so their children had a safe place to play. It also needed to do double duty as a guest space for visiting grandparents. Multiple surprises along the way made this project a true labor of love. Beautiful built-ins, radiant heat and clean spaces make this a dramatic transformation. The clients have achieved their dream of a bright, light-filled space that doesn't feel like a basement.
